We got a really good price on the penthouse room. The room was super beautiful, cozy and also has a good terace! The hotel has good access to public transports and for rental bikes if they ran out of bikes to rent you. The staff was super helpfull : 5 stars. Definitely will be back.

Good hotel, near to the city center. The penthouse suite was a bit disappointment for me. It looks much better on the pictures, in reality not very attractive due to dirty pavement, no greenery, just a small fence between neigbouring room. The room itself little bit ourdated and the cleaning could be made more precisly. Lot of dust, bed lines bit stinky, no equipment (no hanger for coats or even spoon for the coffea). For 450 EUR per night I would expect better care and quality.

My decision to book this hotel was influenced by my usual habit of perusing TripAdvisor reviews before embarking on any trip. In search of a hotel with convenient parking facilities yet still in close proximity to Amsterdam's bustling city center, I settled on this establishment. Naturally, I anticipated a commensurate price tag for such accommodations, but almost €500.00 per night sets a precedent for expectations, especially for a self-proclaimed 4-star venue. Regrettably, my experience fell short of these expectations. Regarding the parking garage, its intricacies proved to be an adventure in itself. The oversight in explaining its operation upon exit was emblematic of the overall lack of attention to detail by the front desk staff. The disappointment extended to the breakfast experience as well. The breakfast buffet failed to impress, and the indifference towards a malfunctioning coffee machine was emblematic of a general apathy towards guest satisfaction. The ground floor rooms, presumably the standard accommodations, were marred by incessant disturbances from passing pedestrians, who seemed intent on tapping on the windows throughout the night. Such disturbances are hardly befitting of a purportedly "GRAND HOTEL" establishment, and instead lent an air of hostel-like ambiance to the experience. Speaking of guest rooms (standard), the state of the bathroom, as depicted in the attached image, mirrored this lack of care and attention to detail. The demeanor of the staff left much to be desired, lacking the professionalism one would associate with a reputable hotel. It was evident that their training in hotel management was sorely lacking. Upon checkout, one would expect at least a cursory inquiry into the quality of the stay, along with a polite farewell. Instead, the interaction was characterized by a blunt declaration of payment completion, devoid of any acknowledgment of the guest's experience or expression of gratitude. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel fell far short of expectations, and I am unequivocal in my decision to abstain from future bookings. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to any of my acquaintances.

The hotel was a good location about a 20 minute walk from Anne Frank's house. Near the hotel are lovely restaurants and bars. The room was not in the best condition, wall paper peeling off the walls. It was an expensive room for the standard of room. Staff were helpful but it was a shame there was no changing room. They did have a luggage room though.
